Most days I feel like my focus is a firehose projecting attention all over the place, while simultaneously having another firehose directed at me spraying me and everything around me with endless sheets of water. In this age of distraction, I find I have been reaching out for insights from others that can help lessen the spray of the dual hoses. Anything that can provide a toehold into more meaningful and intentional focus.
This book has helped.
In fact, it was the catalyst for my "pact recordings", a "tiny experiment" I constructed to challenge myself to create a basic track everyday for a week using primarily my instrument of choice: the OP-1 Field.
